Mutually Inclusive Care

Mutual Health Clinic was founded to address a gap in the holistic care space; treating the whole person cannot be accomplished without holistically considering all other members involved in the patient’s care. Practitioners and healthcare providers should never be viewed as mutually exclusive.

Although different members of your team have varying skill sets, the common goal amongst all is to optimize your health outcomes. By considering the viewpoint of others involved in your care, treatment options can be offered that will not interfere and may even enhance your other therapies.

Dr. Julie Robinson, BScN, ND

Dr. Robinson completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at St. Francis Xavier University in small town Antigonish, Nova Scotia. During her time in the program, she became acutely aware of the importance of complementary care alongside conventional care, to better serve the whole patient and improve overall health outcomes. This led to her enrolment in the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), where she completed her 4-year degree to become a Naturopathic Doctor.

What originally lead her to healthcare was her personal experience with loved ones dealing with cancer. It became clear to her that patients are often looking for additional safe and supportive care during their necessary standard oncological treatment. She is also extremely passionate about empowering patients in remission, helping them learn to trust their bodies after a life-altering diagnosis and course of treatment. In her final year at CCNM, she was one of few students selected to be an intern at the Integrative Cancer Centre in Toronto, a clinic that focuses exclusively on providing evidence-based naturopathic care to cancer patients.

Throughout her nursing and naturopathic medicine degree, she developed a strong passion for supporting individuals struggling with menopause and those with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

Dr. Robinson follows an evidence-based approach to practice, using the best available research and most current guidelines to support clinical decision-making and treatment planning. She is registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO), is an active member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND), the Canadian Associated of Naturopath Doctors (CAND), and the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OncANP).
